Sceptical user, Can BE really follow DFS path?

DFS (no replicated folders). I'm just bringing together many shared folders in a conprehensible configuration using DFS. Replication is not needed.

I've tried and given up several times over the last 2 years. I figure BE can't do this. But if someont tells me they are doing it... that would give me some fuel to keep trying.

Namespace = domain\cities

under cities there's newyork, paris, london namespaces pointing to target shares.

In BE, create backup, in selections I open the cities tree, then open the paris/london/newyork tree and there are no files.

I would very much like to backup files using this path.  Are you doing this? please let me know.
