I need a solution

Hi,

we lost our password for the user, which we use to access the dedup storage in Backup Exec.

All is working fine, but now we want to move the dedup to a new server with a new installation of BE and there we need the same user with password to attach the dedup storage.

I called the support and the said there is now way to solve this.

Is there realy no way? Is it possible to change the user without using the old password? Before the migration to the new system?

Is there a commandline tool to access the dedup storage by using the username and password? Then it might be possible to make a brutforce attack. I know the ma lenght and the possilbe letters with which the password has been created.

Any Idea?

Thanks for you 50cent to a solution...

Dirk
